Meet the Team

Courtney Bourasaw; Owner/Chef

I’ve always had a passion for cooking. Not only did I discover that I was good at it, but I also realized early on how much joy my cooking brought to others. It wasn’t until 2012 that I recognized my love for culinary arts could become a career. I attended Skagit Valley College, where I gained invaluable knowledge that shaped my journey through the culinary world. There, I embraced farm-to-table cooking and learned to work with the freshest ingredients. This beautiful valley has truly revitalized my culinary spirit.

In my personal life, I prioritize foods that promote health and combat disease. While processed foods are everywhere and my diet isn’t perfect, I understand the importance of high-quality ingredients—and I believe everyone deserves access to them.

I am passionate about educating others about their food choices. Many people aspire to improve their culinary skills, but not everyone knows how to start. For those who need guidance on sourcing or preparing ingredients, I’m here to help.

Olivia Vicioso; Office Manager

As a self confessed nomad, I bring a diverse range of experiences to The Skagit Table deeply rooted in community. After college, I worked at my local coop and saw the positive impact local food has on a community. I went on to spend the next few years farming and ranching across the US eventually landing in the Pacific Northwest where my hope is to help sustain the vibrant farm to table movement in the Skagit Valley.

When not managing the office at The Skagit Table, I can be found working on our tiny home with my partner, volunteering at the Camano Farm Ashram, and juggling countless crafts and hobbies.

Katherine McGee; Catering Manager

A proud Skagit resident since 2011, I bring over 15 years of hospitality and almost 10 years of business development experience on the East Coast to The Skagit Table.  I’m a passionate home cook, and I love visiting my local farm stand and fish market on the weekends. I find joy in my two rescued cats, my admittedly obsessive love for reading across all genres, and a decidedly unserious home yoga practice.

My 8 years at Anthony’s on Cap Sante Marina taught me about Pacific Northwest seafood and produce, fueling my passion for great food and a genuine appreciation for local guests and their stories, many of whom I remain in touch with to this day. My goal is to make your event planning a pleasure, and to deliver incredible menus with a personal and professional touch.

Avery Parker; Kitchen Manager

Courtney and I met in 2016 when we worked at Nell Thorn together. Since then, it has been a joy watching her grow her business and share her love for food and community. I joined the Skagit Table team in 2023 and it’s been a dream. Working here has been my favorite job I’ve ever had and it’s been an honor to see this company grow.

I moved to the Skagit Valley at the end of 2011 with no intention to stay but quickly fell in love with the farm to table movement and the strong agricultural community. Through being here, I have developed a love of rollerskating, biking, and foraging for wild mushrooms. I spend most of my time at the Skagit Table but when I’m home I like to hang out with my animals, play my clarinet, and read. I’m famous for carne asada fajitas but my true love is French cooking.
